Modern applications behave quite differently in production when compared to development or testing environments. Datadog Continuous Profiler enables you to analyze your applications while they run in production with real workloads. 

In this workshop, we will practice using the profiler to diagnose and fix code performance problems. Through the use of Continuous Profiler, you will be able to save money on your infrastructure bill, reduce latency, and improve your user's experience. 

As part of this workshop, you will instrument an application with Datadog APM and Continuous Profiler to identify bottlenecks in web requests. You will then use different kinds of profiling data—such as CPU, exceptions, cost, and allocations—to dive deep into different types of issues and how they can be fixed. Furthermore, you will learn about the new timeline and insights features and use them to debug application code performance problems.
