Database Monitoring for Application Developers
Skill level
Intermediate
Date & Location
June 26 | 2:00 PM EDT | Room 411
Databases are a crucial part of your tech stack. Often, multiple application services can rely on the same set of databases. For this reason, being able to have deep visibility into your databases at the query and data model level is vital. While the responsibility of database monitoring has traditionally been limited to a database admin team, at Datadog we believe in the value of empowering application developers to troubleshoot issues themselves.
In this workshop you will learn about why database monitoring is important and how Datadog Database Monitoring (DBM) will help you both troubleshoot and proactively optimize databases by examining query performance and your database’s overall workload. You will learn how to set up DBM and navigate the Datadog platform as well as walk through common troubleshooting and optimization scenarios.
