Allen Cox

Allen Cox is the Senior Director of Security & IT at MyFitnessPal, the world’s leading nutrition and food tracking app. He leads the teams responsible for Security Engineering, Application Security, and Corporate IT, supporting a fully remote workforce. Allen has a particular interest in leveraging process automation to help small teams drive outsized impact. Before joining MyFitnessPal in 2021, Allen served as a Cyber Warfare Officer in the U.S. Air Force, where he specialized in Detection and Response. He later led Blizzard Entertainment’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). Outside of work, Allen is an accomplished pianist and vocalist, but joyfully spends most of his free time these days as a father to a toddler and a baby.
