Datadog App Builder is a low-code product that enables companies to create applications directly in Datadog, facilitating collaboration and empowering users to take action on insights. These apps integrate natively into Datadog’s monitoring platform to provide interactive visibility into telemetry data. Apps are easy to build using drag-and-drop UI components, Datadog monitoring tools and data sources, custom HTTP requests and JavaScript code, and 1,000+ out-of-the-box actions for popular platforms and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction for getting started with App Builder. Attendees will build an app both from a pre-built blueprint and from scratch to gain hands-on experience. They will also create new connections, actions, and components; integrate with external tools like GitHub; perform post-query transformations to manipulate output; and embed their apps in both Datadog dashboards and the self-service tab of the Software Catalog.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped with the necessary skills to build and publish their own apps, improving operational efficiency and collaboration within their organizations.
A GitHub account is required for hands-on labs.
