Generate and Operationalize System Architecture Diagrams with Cloudcraft and Datadog
Date & Location
August 02 | 5:00 PM PDT | Platform Talks Theater in Partner Expo
Drawing an infrastructure diagram by hand can be time-consuming, and, for rapidly changing environments, any result will become out of date quickly. This makes infrastructure diagrams hard to use as a source of truth for collaboration, design, cost analysis, and audits. Plus, since most diagrams are static, it’s often impossible to use your diagram for day-to-day infrastructure management. In this session, we’ll show how you can connect Cloudcraft with Datadog to quickly diagram your infrastructure. Then, we’ll walk through turning your diagram into a navigation hub for monitoring your infrastructure’s health and performance with Datadog. We’ll cover how to scan your AWS and Azure resources in order to draw your infrastructure diagram in Cloudcraft. We’ll also look at how you can keep your diagram up to date automatically and easily share it to break down silos between stakeholder teams like engineering, architects, DevOps, and security. We’ll also explore how you can use your diagram to estimate costs for current and planned future architecture, and jump from Cloudcraft to Datadog to check host metrics, serverless function logs, and more.
