Breakout Session
Building Products for a Global Audience
Date & Location
August 03 | 1:00 PM PDT | Room 2005
Software engineers have become increasingly involved in the software lifecycle beyond active development, but they often ignore its earliest and most important stage: Discovery. Discovery identifies the “why” that informs what engineers build and how they build it. As the development of software scales to multiple teams and locations, it’s particularly important for everyone to have a shared understanding of both the business and user goals. In this session, I’ll share why it’s important for engineers to be involved in discovery, how they can gain the most value from it, and important considerations when building a product for a global user base.
