We use Datadog for APM and incident management. We have a dashboard that shows us top responders to incidents, and top commanders.

This data is useful to come up with programs and escalation paths, while simultaneously taking the load off of our top responders. So, if we take the top 10 incident commanders, we can break down silos by mandating that for non P1 incidents, the top commanders in the list, cannot command an incident unless they are escalated to.

This gives everyone the opportunity to be in command, and the experience needed to gain confidence in incident command. We also use this data to understand who we should include in tabletop exercises to better target out training.
