Eric Allen is a Developer Advocate for Datadog and currently calls Boston home. Over the last decade, he has been honing his skills as a full stack developer by tackling a diverse range of roles from being the first engineer at a proptech startup, spending time as an adjunct professor, leading Front End Architecture as a VP at a Fortune 50 financial institution, and working with an array of clients big and small through consulting and agency work.

Over the last several years he’s developed a passion for Accessibility, User Experience, and Developer Experience and interviewed almost 1,000 developers - which lead to some strong opinions about interviewing and hiring in the tech industry. When he’s not experimenting with TypeScript, he is probably playing with his doggo, Judge, enjoying a craft beer, or traveling the world pretending that he’s a photographer.
